Minor Hotels announces a new NH Collection property in Qatar
The NH Collection Doha Oasis Hotel & Beach Club will open mid-2022
Bangkok, January 20, 2022: Minor Hotels, a hotel owner, operator and investor, which currently has a portfolio of 530 hotels and resorts in 55 countries in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean, is pleased to announce the signing of an upcoming agreement to add to its portfolio in Qatar. The NH Collection Doha Oasis Hotel & Beach Club is scheduled to open in mid-2022 and will be the first NH Collection property in the world to feature a beach club.
The hotel is currently in the final stages of development and is located in the Ras Abu Abboud area along the east coast of Doha, midway between the city center and Hamad International Airport. The former Oasis Hotel, from which the new property takes its name, stood in the same location and was Doha’s very first hotel when it opened in the 1950s. The hotel has a rich history and was a destination for choice for local Qataris, residents and visitors to the state, with many celebrations and official events held there.
The completely revamped hotel will have a total of 300 rooms, divided into a mix of superior and deluxe rooms and more than 50 suites, all with a design that combines modern and classic elegance. The suites will include six 156 square meter Emiri Suites, a 193 square meter Presidential Suite and an impressive split-level Royal Suite, offering 332 square meters of luxurious space. The F&B offer will be very strong, with six restaurants and bars, including two specialty restaurants and a rooftop bar.
Additional facilities will include spas and gyms for men and women, a grand ballroom totaling 1,200 square meters and divisible by two, and a mezzanine with additional meeting rooms, a business center and meeting space. conference. The new hotel will also have a beach club with swimming pool surrounded by gardens and padel courts, as well as ample parking.
This will be the first NH collection to be launched outside of the brand’s traditional business areas in Europe and America.
