The new Sensira Resort & Spa is aimed at the family market

As the market for family and multi-generational groups continues to boom and space is limited, travel advisors may want to consider one of the Mexican Caribbean’s newest all-inclusive properties — the all-inclusive Sensira Resort & Spa.

The 359-room beachfront resort, which began welcoming guests last year, caters to those markets as well as couples and a wide range of other groups.

The Diamond Suite can accommodate a maximum of seven people.

“What sets us apart is our focus on all types of families, not just families with children,” said Hobal Torres, the property’s associate sales manager.

“Our intentional incorporation of the Mexican nature of hospitality within our brand is also very distinctive.

“We seek to provide this authentic experience of our culture in every corner of our resort, such as Sensira’s signature amenities made in Mexico with Mexican ingredients, including fine dining where our signature cuisine is led by a Mexican chef.”

Another selling point is the resort’s proximity to Cancun’s shopping and entertainment district and Playa del Carmen.

“The Cancun airport is also close to our resort, and because of this, we can meet the needs of a wide variety of families in the United States in markets with direct flights to Cancun, which includes all major cities in the states,” Torres said.

The property, which is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is equipped with a wide range of rooms and suites; 13 restaurants and bars; three swimming pools, including an infinity pool with activities, a central family pool and an adults-only pool with hydromassage tub; a spa; a gym; a water park for children; age-appropriate children’s clubs; a cinema and performance hall, a nightclub; a zip line and a climbing wall; and event space, including a range of options for destination weddings.

Going forward, Torres noted that there are plans to expand the brand.

“We are looking to grow the Sensira brand in beach destinations not only in Mexico but also in the Caribbean,” he said.
