Over $140 million renovations underway at Omni Homestead Resort

HOT SPRINGS, Va. (WFXR) — A major transformation continues at the Omni Homestead Resort as the more than $140 million investment — which began last fall with facade upgrades — moves to the interior with renovations in the historic west wing.

While exterior work is still underway by Complete Property Services, the station says HITT Contracting of northern Virginia — one of the nation’s largest general contractors — is the go-to construction company for the large-scale project. wingspan.

“This is without a doubt the largest investment in this resort in over 100 years,” said Mark Spadoni, General Manager of Omni Homestead Resort. “What is particularly remarkable is that by carefully planning the work wing by wing, we are able to stay open with minimal impact on our customers and secure the employment of our hundreds of associates. Carrying out this level of work, while being fully operational, is something the HITT team is not only used to, but excels at.

According to the resort, HITT’s dedicated hospitality construction team will restore and revitalize guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms and restaurants throughout the iconic resort.

“HITT is honored to be entrusted with the restoration of the interiors of the Omni Homestead Resort. Our project team has created a precise and targeted renovation plan that allows the complex to remain open safely and minimizes any impact on customers and staff,” said HITT Contracting Senior Vice President Peter Lanfranchi. “As experts in building historic hotels and resorts, we understand that The Homestead is a one-of-a-kind property, and we are delighted to help renew the resort, along with our design partners and outsourcing, so that locals and visitors alike can experience and enjoy for years to come.

Officials told WFXR News that the Omni Homestead Resort’s rich history spanning more than 250 years, along with the natural beauty of Virginia’s mountains, inspired the designs.

One of the world’s leading multidisciplinary design firms, WATG, with its interiors studio, Wimberly Interiors, is said to have worked with Omni Hotels and Resorts’ design team to honor the heritage of the Bath County resort while by wearing it in the future.

The five main keywords for the project are “traditional, light, residential, sophisticated and iconic,” Spadoni explained. “The attention to detail, from the sculpted carpeting in the Great Room, to the thoughtfully coordinated colors and decor themes for each guest wing, is nothing short of remarkable.”
