2. As travel resumes in earnest, health and safety is still very much on the minds of vacationers. Why is Playa Stay Safe such a powerful sales tool for agents?

“Also, now that Canada has relaxed re-entry requirements, there is no additional charge for our guests as we include antigen testing at all of our resorts for guests staying three nights or more. . And for your peace of mind, at check-in, we offer all of our guests our Extended Stay Protection for just $49 USD per person. This protection will cover guests for an additional 10 night stay if they receive a positive test result before returning home.

3. We know that at Playa Resorts you take pride in your three pillars: Food and Beverage, Service, and Health and Wellness. Can you elaborate on health and wellness?

“Absolutely! Health and wellness has always been a priority for us and we have certainly noticed a shift in the market over the past few years. Our customers prioritize their physical fitness, mental health and, in overall, they focus on a more balanced lifestyle, even on vacation.

“For us, that means providing our guests with state-of-the-art fitness facilities like our 14,000 square foot gym at the Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Cap Cana and world-class spas like our Grande Spa. at the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa. . And last but not least, our culinary team does a great job of providing a range of authentic restaurants where customers can find healthy options on the menus.

4. What are some of the benefits of selling Playa for travel agents?

“Aside from the support of our small but mighty team here in Canada, I believe most travel advisors would say the biggest advantage when selling Playa would be our incentive program, AgentCash+.

“If I could give advice to advisors, I would say: don’t let your customers wait to book! We are witnessing “voyages of revenge” and the space is filling up fast. If you see the room your customers want, book it and don’t wait!

“And guests are spending more than they normally would, so don’t be afraid to offer them higher suite categories. Our top suite categories sell out first.
