A new waterfront hotel in West Wales received a four-star rating within a week of opening.
The Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront, which opened in the Milford Waterfront Tourism Development Center last month, has been awarded a high rating by Visit Wales after its first review.
The report hailed the impressive “buzz and vibe” the hotel, which is managed and operated by The Celtic Collection team who also manage Celtic Manor Resort, has been able to create in a short time.
He added that the hotel would be a welcome addition to the Visit Wales portfolio.
Housekeeping and food at Dulse, the hotel’s brasserie restaurant, received top marks for its tasty, quality ingredients that were perfectly cooked by Executive Chef Simon Crockford and his team.
The staff has received very good comments for their hospitality, friendliness, service and efficiency as well as the quality and maintenance of the rooms and facilities.
All 100 rooms were described as well-decorated and furnished with quality beds, bedding, and linens.
Hotel manager Adrian Andrews said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to have achieved a four star rating from Visit Wales so soon after opening. The high scores and feedback from the review exceeded our expectations and is testament to the hard work of the entire team to realize the vision behind the development of this fantastic hotel.”
Mr Andrews added: “It has been a very busy time to put in place the final preparations and then open the doors to welcome our first guests, but it has also been an exciting time. We also appreciated the wonderful comments and thanks from those who came to stay and dine with us during our first month.

Owned by the Port of Milford Haven, the Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront is a 46,000 square foot building with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Milford Marina.
The hotel was part of a multi-million pound regeneration project led by the port and has a brasserie restaurant and bar, fitness room and private dining room and hopes attract new tourists to Milford Haven and Pembrokeshire.
The development created 40 plus permanent operational jobs in the supply chain when it opened.
