Luxury resort The Ritz-Carlton, Amman opens in Jordan

The supply of luxury hotels in Jordan continues to grow with the launch of the Ritz-Carlton, Amman.

The five-star resort now welcomes guests through its gates on the city’s prestigious Fifth Circle; the 228-room property is 20 stories tall, meaning guests have unparalleled views of West Amman and beyond.

It is also home to Roberto’s, the UAE’s gourmet Italian restaurant.

With some of the largest hotel rooms in Jordan, travelers also have the option of sleeping in one of seven suite categories, all of which have floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Kingdom of Jordan itself inspired the hotel’s contemporary art deco design, which includes a series of vignettes reflecting the treasures of Petra, a color palette encompassing ocean, land and desert, and architectural features Roman and Nabatean with a modern twist.

Besides Roberto’s, The Ritz-Carlton, Amman offers several other dining options, including Ambros, which serves seasonal produce, Iris for tea experiences, and Sarab Garden where regional cuisine is on the menu.

Soleil will open this summer for those seeking healthy cuisine with an emphasis on vegetarian dishes and a distinctive coffee roast. And, later this year, American-style sports bar Legends will also open.

To unwind, guests can head to the spa, which offers treatments with ESPA products, has temperature-controlled indoor and outdoor pools, and is home to what Marriott says is the largest hot tub in the capital.
