In honor of MyMichigan Health CEO and President Diane Postler-Slattery and her husband, Donald Slattery, Midland residents who both died in a plane crash in Florida on Tuesday night, Junior Achievement of North Central Michigan has postponed his Business Hall of Fame induction banquet that was scheduled for Wednesday at the H Hotel in Midland.

JA of North Central Michigan President and CEO Mike Rush said Postler-Slattery was inducted into the Hall of Fame around 2018 and was a big supporter of JA.

“She had a big impact on Junior Achievement just by supporting our events,” Rush said.

Rush said the induction banquet has not yet been rescheduled. He said the food that was going to be served at Wednesday’s banquet would be donated to Open Door in Midland.

“The food will be donated to Open Door in honor of Diane and Don,” Rush said. “Don was very active in the Open Door and a huge supporter of them, so we would like to honor that and help them.”
