IHG to create first international upscale hotel in Vinh Yen

British hospitality giant IHG continues its growth in South East Asia with the signing of the Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Center in the capital of the Vietnamese province of Vinh Phuc.

Crowne Plaza’s portfolio will soon be strengthened with the addition of a contemporary 170-room property in northern Vietnam.

A hotel that draws on local inspiration

Aiming to debut in 2022, the Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Center is the result of a new management agreement signed between IHG and Bao Quan Co. When it opens, the 170-key program will welcome guests to the heart of Vinh Yen in the design – lively spaces inspired by local heritage and culture.

It also complements IHG’s strategy to support the government master plan to expand into industrial sites.

Flexible spaces suitable for business travelers

The hotel will reflect the new concept of the Crowne Plaza brand, focusing on the changing demand for flexible spaces. Business travelers will be catered for by the brand’s Plaza Workspace lobby, executive lounge, business corner and agile workspace, while events will be hosted in multi-functional rooms, including a meeting room. 850 m² ball.

The rooms will be designed according to the WorkLife concept, with a quarter designed as full-size suites with kitchenettes for long and short stays. In addition to this, guests will enjoy two bars and restaurants, a club lounge, spa, outdoor pool, and fitness center.

The hotel is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport and provides access to the rest of Vinh Phuc, one of Vietnam’s largest industrial provinces. This region will host part of the rescheduled 2021 Southeast Asian Games in May 2022. Nearby sights include Tam Dao National Park, Truc Lam An Tam Zen Monastery and several popular golf courses.
