The luxurious Magma Resort in Santorini is set to open in August as a member of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt portfolio following a franchise agreement between a subsidiary of Hyatt and Thera Island Suites SA, owners of the resort.
The Magma Resort Santorini will be the first Hyatt-affiliated hotel in the Greek Islands. The hotel will be operated by Athens-based SWOT Hospitality.

According to an announcement from Hyatt, Magma Resort Santorini will look like a traditional Cycladic dwelling reimagined by incorporating a durable yet modern exterior design that seamlessly integrates stone and lava elements into the overall island vibe. All 59 rooms and suites46 of which will have private pools and hot tubs, will enjoy stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
True to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand philosophy, Magma Resort Santorini will offer unique, modern and personalized luxury customer experiences.
Nestled among traditional old vines, the resort will be located on the lava slopes of Vourvoulosclose to the picturesque lava sand beaches in the northeast part of the island and popular cosmopolitan destinations such as Fira and Oia, known for their Instagram-worthy sunsets.
The culinary experience of the resort, Magma of Spondiwill be organized by the Chief Executive Arnaud Bignon and honor local farming and seasonal ingredients in a contemporary and inventive interpretation. The restaurant menu will include signature dishes and other gourmet options accompanied by renowned wines from the rich viticulture for which the island is known.
According to Hyatt, the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand is a collection of truly distinctive properties, all with a different story to tell.
Once opened, Magma Resort Santorini will become The Unbound Collection by Hyatt’s ninth hotel in Europe.
