Guest speaker announced for Highland Business Awards at Drumossie Hotel, Inverness

With the Highland Business Awards taking place at the end of this month, now is the time to announce the guest speaker.

Organized by the Inverness Chamber of Commerce, the awards are a chance to recognize those who have made progress in business over the past 12 months.

Taking place at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness on September 30, the awards are shaping up to be a treat for all who attend.

Stephen Leckie, Chairman of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, Chairman of the Scottish Tourism Alliance and Chairman and Chief Executive of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Mr Leckie is the fifth generation of his family to run the Crieff Hydro hotel and estate since the doors of Scotland’s first hydropathic establishment opened in 1868.

The company is now the oldest registered trading company in Scotland.

It will be a unique opportunity to hear Mr Leckie talk about the strength of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce network and the challenges and opportunities facing businesses in Scotland.

Stewart Nicol, Chief Executive of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce, said: “I am delighted to have Stephen joining us at this year’s Highland Business Awards.

“Given Stephen’s leadership of the Crieff Hydro family of hotels for many years and his appointment as President of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce a year ago, he has a wealth of experience and critical perspective to share. with our customers.

“I also look forward to his perspective on the challenges facing business and the role governments need to play.

“I’m sure Stephen will also highlight the vital role that businesses play in our communities and the fantastic opportunities they provide for staff at all levels.

Tickets for the Awards Luncheon are priced at £65.00 +VAT per person and can be booked individually or for tables of 10.

The event will run from noon to 4:00 p.m. and the ticket price includes a welcome drink and a three-course lunch with tea or coffee.
