Foxwoods Casino officials have announced an $85 million expansion that will add 50,000 feet of gaming space and a 13,000 square foot restaurant to the Ledyard complex.

Construction of the new casino is expected to begin in November and open next summer. It will be located in the Foxwoods Grand Ballroom, located in the Grand Pequot area of the resort.
