Selina Union Market is now welcoming its first customers to the booming Union Market neighborhood in Washington, DC.

The experiential lifestyle hotel brand for millennial and Gen Z travelers now has seven hotels in the United States and a global portfolio of 155 open and pipeline properties.

Designed for collaboration

Reflecting its place in the brand portfolio, Selina Union Market provides space for digital nomads and modern travelers to stay, work and play. The brand’s flagship American property, this hotel features all the elements that set the hotel business apart.

The collaborative space designed for residents and hotel guests to gather is decorated in a modern industrial spirit. Drawing inspiration from the site’s past as a seed factory and antique shop, interiors combine an earthy color palette with upcycled furniture

The hotel commissioned artists Stencil Network and Sergio Stuff to create a four-story mural and original artwork by Veronica Barker-Barzel and Victory Dance Creation decorate the walls.

Artist Vero Barker will add to the cultural program ranging from wellness classes to comedy shows with screen printing demonstrations and workshops.

A variety of stay experiences

This new Selina hotel welcomes guests to 106 mixed accommodation rooms, ranging from shared accommodation and micro rooms to standard rooms and suites, catering to a variety of preferred accommodation styles and budgets.

This accommodation offer is complemented by several open-air coworking spaces and private meeting rooms, four artist studios for rent and a cinema room.

Guests can dine at the all-day restaurant, prepare your own food in the communal kitchen, use the wellness studio and on-site winery to dance around, and head to the sprawling rooftop for cocktails with a view.

Local partners adding to the community vibe include organic skincare line Skincando and on-demand concierge mobile IV therapy brand, Pure Drop IV. DJ Farrah Flosscett will perform full time at the hotel and SoFar Sounds will perform live throughout the summer.
