Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Center has announced the appointment of Zalan Schuster as Chief Concierge. Passionate about his profession, experience in the luxury hotel industry, and member of the Clefs d’Or, the international organization of the crème de la crème hotel concierges, Schuster arrived at the dizzying hotel in the Saudi capital with a mission to curate rewarding and exciting destination experiences for guests.
“Being a janitor is more than a job, it’s a lifestyle,” says Schuster. “Welcoming guests and going the extra mile to ensure they make the most of their time here in Riyadh gives me as much pleasure as I hope their experiences give them.”
Appointed at the end of 2021, Schuster quickly set about learning all the details of Riyadh and connecting with fine dining restaurants, high-end retailers, local transport and tour operators to ensure his team can satisfy all tastes. customer requests. Key to those connections is Schuster’s membership in Les Clefs d’Or, which he joined in early 2021 based on his experience and testing. An “elite fraternity” of globally connected hotel concierges, the nonprofit has some 4,000 members in 80 countries and 530 destinations around the world, including Riyadh.
Schuster started his hotel career as a bellhop in 2011 in a hotel on the island of Crete in Greece where, in addition to helping customers with luggage, he began to study the concept of concierge services and decided to do membership of the Clefs d’Or his career goal. He moved to England in 2013 to work as a doorman and took his first concierge job the following year at Alexander Hotels.
