Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts supports communities with ‘meals that heal’


Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts continues to expand “Meals that Heal” – its food donation initiative to neighboring communities, daily wage earners and the less fortunate, as a way to support livelihoods amid the current economic crisis.

The “Meals that Heal” program, first introduced in June 2021, as part of the brand’s delivery platform; Flavors by Cinnamon – allows customers to be part of the brand’s drive to provide meals to communities. With every order placed through Flavors by Cinnamon, customers can top up their order value with a desired amount, which is directed to the fund to help serve communities. Additionally, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is pledging Rs. 100 with every order placed.

We have successfully donated over 10,000 meals to communities so far and intend to continue this initiative as a long-term brand project. This unique community CSR initiative was first introduced during the pandemic to support the economically disadvantaged while allowing customers to be part of the brand’s drive to provide meals to communities. Since the start of the project, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts has donated to neighboring communities, flood victims, healthcare workers and children’s orphanages with the support of organizations and partners such as Union Assurance, the Red Cross of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Police.

Meals that Heal is a great opportunity for clients who want to help bring joy to marginalized communities that have been hit hard by the current crisis in the country. After placing the food order on, customers have the option to click the “Donate Now” button before paying to contribute to the Meals that Heal project, which will automatically be added to their total bill. The contribution paid will be used for the Meals that Heal project fund.

“Flavours by Cinnamon”, the food delivery platform offers customers exclusive access to a variety of cuisines and artisan menus at Cinnamon Grand Colombo outlets – Noodles, Coffee Stop, The Lagoon, Nuga Gama, Chutneys, Tea Lounge and Plates; and Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo outlets – Goodies, Long Feng, Royal Thai, Sushi Bar, ColomBar and The Indian Kitchen.
