Overview of the new resort project in Jomtien Beach, Thailand

On May 9, 2022, Azure Rich Group announced the development of its $130 million complex in Jomtien, Thailand. The project, one of the largest on the east coast of Thailand, includes the Ramada® by Wyndham and Ramada Encore® by Wyndham brands, under a franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the largest company hotel franchise in the world with 9,000 hotels in approximately 95 countries. The project also includes the debut of Nebu Resorts & Hotels, the first project in a series owned and managed by Azure Rich Group.

The development will join the Wyndham® brand portfolio of upscale hotels and resorts known for their comfortable, well-designed accommodations and exceptional service. The properties are located in popular destinations around the world, including Gold Coast, Sydney, Bali, Bangkok, Phuket, Shanghai, Athens and elsewhere.

The new resort, which is expected to open Phase 1 by 2024, will offer 950 rooms across six hotel and resort buildings, a 3,800 sq m event/mixed-use building, an eight-island health and wellness enclave, more than 23,000 m² of operational space and commercial space. Plus, a host of leisure facilities, including a 220m long man-made sand lagoon, several world-class restaurants and co-working facilities. The resort is the first in a new chain of resorts being developed by Azure Rich Group, with a second project in Phuket having already received EIA approval, a third site in Bangkok launching in 2022 and projects in come to Gold Coast Australia and Queenstown, New Zealand.

“Having Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as a development collaborator is a strong vote of confidence in Thailand as a world-class tourism destination and on the East Coast in particular,” said Dr Suparak Charlie Chomchan, CEO of Azure RichGroup. “Given the location and style of our resort, we believe the Wyndham family of brands is the right choice and a perfect fit for us. We are excited to join the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts network and look forward to leveraging its strong global presence and its loyalty program to raise the profile of our Nebu Resort brand with international and domestic tourists.

“The resort is an exciting development, and we are proud to introduce our Wyndham brand to the east coast of Thailand with an upscale resort product located along one of Thailand’s beautiful coastlines,” said Joon. Aun Ooi, President Asia-Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. .

“The exceptional coastal location benefits from Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), a special development zone supported by the Thai government and the private sector. The significant infrastructure investment includes the expansion of the nearby U-Tapao International Airport, a high-speed rail link, expressway extensions and world-class tourist facilities. Thus, the resort will become a favorite location for holidaymakers and corporate retreats seeking all the facilities of a true tourist village in a beautiful setting.

Located in the province of Chonburi on the east coast of Thailand, the resort is just a 1.5 hour drive from Bangkok. The idyllic setting makes it a popular coastal retreat. Millions of people visit every year to enjoy its beaches, water sports, boat trips and swimming. The area is also a top vacation spot for families and groups thanks to local culture, island hopping, delicious seafood, and several fun attractions.

“This project is the first of its kind in Thailand and will not follow a traditional resort and hotel business model,” said Bryan Priestley, Co-CEO of Azure Rich Group. “We offer investors the opportunity to purchase a hotel room, in whole or in part, through a condominium program and benefit from rental income and personal use privileges. Additionally, we will go beyond traditional investment products and offer lower investment thresholds to appeal to an increasingly younger demographic, with the future development of a metaverse community.

Azure Rich Group has assembled a team of renowned international and local real estate experts to launch its Nebu brand. Through its partnership with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, it looks forward to establishing a new bar in the tourism industry. Combining state-of-the-art design technology with business innovations, it will serve its investors and customers well for years to come.
