Lime and Bird scooters are a quick and easy way to get around town, and you’ll find them almost anywhere to ride when you need them.

What is a lesser-known cultural institution worth visiting?

Valhalla Tahoe! The name “Valhalla” was taken from the Norse myth of the paradise place of the Vikings. These beautiful estates date back to the early 1920s and have beautifully manicured grounds, lakeside access and old growth pine forest throughout. Try to find the secret garden!

What’s the best thing you can only find in your city?

What’s the best thing you can do only in your city?

Trash is a big problem in Tahoe. Many tourists do not respect the beauty of nature and tend to leave a mark. We’re keen on leaving no trace, so take what you take and don’t disappoint the locals with litter.

What is the object or activity on which tourists tend to get ripped off? Any tips to avoid this?

There’s no better way to get ripped off than a good night’s play. On the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe, tourists love to try their luck at the slot machines and tables at one of the many casinos .

I’m looking for a low-key brunch. Where to go ?

Artemis Lakefront Cafe is a great place for a casual brunch to enjoy a delicious Bloody Mary or Bottomless Mimosas, Greek-style cuisine and great people watching from the deck at the busy Ski Run Marina.

The best place to eat a meal or drink a beer outside when the weather is nice?

Azul Latin Kitchen in the Heavenly Village is a festive place to grab food, have a beer, and listen to live music on the patio.

Are there any potential issues I should be concerned about or watch out for when it comes to public transportation (rush hours, delays, petty crimes, etc.)?

Tahoe’s winters can be heavy and the snowy days can make it nearly impossible to get around at times. Whether it’s traffic, snow removal delays or a total blizzard, always expect delays. Summer also brings traffic.

What is the thing that everyone forgets to pack? Or the one thing everyone should remember to pack when visiting?

Tahoe’s summers are warm and beautiful during the day, but the air becomes crisp at night. Don’t forget to pack a few layers to pull on for dinner, sunset, and late-night festivities.
