Three high-end hotels from the Accor group will debut in Uzbekistan over the next few years thanks to a new cooperation agreement the company has signed with Hyper Group of Companies.
The signed memorandums will see the opening of Mövenpick Samarkand and Swissôtel Tashkent following the rebranding and renovation of existing hotels, as well as the construction of the new Swissôtel Charvak hotel in the village of Navobod, in the Tashkent region.
The total capacity of the trio will amount to more than 500 rooms, which are scheduled to open over the next two years.
Change of four-star brand
Mövenpick Samarkand will open after the renovation and rebranding of the four-star Registan Plaza hotel, located close to the business districts and historic sites of the Old City. The seven-storey site will offer 165 rooms of various categories ranging from standard to suites. The hotel will have a spa center with swimming pool, a gourmet restaurant and a large hall with a lounge bar. The infrastructure of the property will also include a large multifunctional space for corporate and social events.
Mövenpick Samarkand is expected to open later in 2022.
Swissôtel Tashkent will open after the renovation and rebranding of the luxurious five-star hotel Miran International in Tashkent.
Guests can choose from 173 elegant rooms and suites and enjoy various wellness and dining facilities. The hotel will be perfect for family trips and getaways with friends.
The establishment is expected to open in the third quarter of 2023.
Swiss style all year round
Swissôtel Charvak will be built in the resort town of Navobod in the Tashkent region, a year-round resort. This will offer 206 rooms and suites as well as a spa complex, a fitness center and three swimming pools.
The hotel infrastructure will also include two gourmet restaurants, a bar, a banquet hall for special events and several meeting rooms. The opening is scheduled for 2024.
