The 1980s was the theme for the 2022 Percey Auction, which raised funds for the Keizer Network of Women’s (KNOW) Christmas Hamper Program.

The event, held Thursday, May 12 at the Best Western Premier Keizer/Salem Hotel, raised over $20,000 for the program. The next day, KNOW’s Bloomin’ Iris Golf Tournament brought more money to the program, bringing in over $25,000.

The Christmas Hamper Program raises money to deliver boxes of food and gifts to children from families in need. In 2021, the program served 305 families.

The banquet hall at the Best Western was filled with attendees, many wearing 1980s clothing. The annual Percey Auction event honors area educators. Local businesses sponsored tables for teachers and staff at Keizer School.

Historically a female-only function, Men of Action in Keizer (MAK) members and others have served as ushers, servers, and trailblazers.

The Keizer Women’s Network and Keizer Men’s Doer are both associated with the Keizer Chamber of Commerce.

KNOW President April McVay was dressed in her best period attire, overseeing every detail of the evening.
