El Questro

Kimberly Region

Nestled on a beautiful red cliff gorge in the Kimberley is El Questro; a truly spectacular hideaway surrounded by rugged natural beauty and truly incredible views. You can choose to stay in Emma Gorge’s safari-style tented cabins, set among 700,000 acres of natural paradises and swimming holes; the resort-style bungalows at El Questro resort on the banks of the Pentecost River; or go all out and book the private Homestead and enjoy free excursions and a three-course gourmet meal to end each day. Just note that this one closes during the rainy season (November to March), so it’s best to lock it down for later this year.

Sal Salis

Exmouth

Sal Salis is a secluded seaside safari camp in the dunes of Cape Range National Park, on the shores of Ningaloo Reef, with 16 ‘wild tents’. What is a wild tent, you ask? It’s a tent that sits on a raised platform (safe from dangerous insects, thank you) equipped with a jarrah bed, cotton sheets and an attached bathroom. You will be entrenched in the middle of nature, awakened by the chirping of birds and surrounded by kangaroos grazing on the dunes. Sal Salis also offers a long communal table with meals prepared by their expert chefs, snorkeling gear, kayaks and a library full of books so you will find plenty of ways to relax.

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa

Broome

If you know anything about Broome, chances are you’ve heard of Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa. This is where you can really party. Four restaurants, an adults-only ocean pool, the Chahoya Spa and Salon by L’Occitane, and a cocktail menu as long as your arm — if you’re heading there, we’re jealous. Be sure to take a camel ride along the beach (which, by the way, is right on your doorstep) at sunset before heading out.
